Neoprene Double Pouch

I saw this at a marathon expo and my eyes must have doubled in size (no pun intended...haha). This particular belt is the solution to all of my problems with my first "personal items belt," which I bought at the recommendation of a YouTube vlogger. I don't want to go into huge detail about my other belt, but it's one of those stretchy, one-pouch Lycra-type belts that doesn't really have any shape until you fill it. I like the semi-thick neoprene fabric of the iFitness belt, because 1) it's more water resistant than my other belt and 2) it holds its shape well, whether it's completely empty or stuffed full. Also, the wide, flat design of the pouches means that my stuff can be distributed evenly in each pouch, so I don't get a big, lumpy, odd-looking wad of stuff right below my belly button. Less "clumping" of my things means that the belt doesn't bounce - with my other belt, the only way to keep the ball of gels and salt packets from bouncing is to crank the waistband really, really tight...which means I often experience abdominal tenderness for 1-2 days after each use (yeah, it has to be that tight!). However, my favorite feature of the Double Pouch belt is that it has...double pouches! Being able to separate my "emergency items" (phone, ID, cash, etc) from my "frequently used items" (gels, salt packets) means that I don't have to worry about dropping or spilling something every time I try to grab a snack. Things that are important or easy to lose go in one pouch, and consumables go in the other. I'm thinking of ordering an add-on pouch or armband next, so that my iPod or camera can be stored separately at my next marathon. I don't like to feel cluttered when I run, but sometimes a girl needs a few extra snacks and some music! (Posted on 2/11/13)

So I don't do race belts (hate the bouncing!) but I saw these and thought I would give it a try. I was using the Race Ready shorts, which are great, but I had dropped my sunglasses in a port-o-john once and was looking for something more secure for my phone. This belt is FANTASTIC, just like this site says, no bouncing, riding up, or chafing. Take it from me-a non race belt person, get one, you won't be sorry! (Posted on 1/27/13)

I bought my double pouch soon after seeing it at an expo in September 2010. For long runs, I have used one side to hold my camera or cell phone (blackberry) and the other side for nutrition and a couple bucks. For half marathons, I use it to stash my parking garage stub (neoprene keeps it from getting sweaty during the race!), some money, nutrition and my car key. Once you find the right spot for it, it stays in place. I have also since bought some of the 6 oz hydration add-ons. I just recently got the Samsung Galaxy 3 phone and unfortunately it just barely fits. If I were to leave the phone in the entire time I ran, I would use it- but taking it out and putting it in repeatedly, I worry about scratching the screen with the ends of the zipper opening (and you would not be able to put anything else in that side). Maybe I will just take it as a cue to leave my phone at home and disconnect from the rest of the world while I run :) (Posted on 1/2/13)

I wear this belt on my shorter runs and during races. It easily holds my iphone on one side and gels, id cards, and inhaler on the other. It really does not bounce or move around and you can tell it's made of high quality material. (Posted on 11/20/12)

I used this for the 2012 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. It held my honey stingers, glucose tablets, phone, camera, credit card, and ID with no problem whatsoever. I had no issues with it bouncing or riding up. Very comfortable belt and the pouches stretch nicely to hold your items. Great running solution!! (Posted on 11/19/12)
